This Diapason 5'7" grand piano bearing the serial number 107018 was made by Kawai Musical Instruments in 1998 in Hamamatsu, Japan. It was designed by Hataiwa Ohashi and incorporated many features that exist within the Kawai Piano to this day. The use of premium materials includes a solid spruce soundboard, Kawai hammers, and strings. This combination creates a very distinctive sound.
This particular piano was purchased new from R. Kassman in 1998 when the company was still located in San Francisco. The same family has owned it and enjoyed it ever since. It has been well maintained and taken care of.
This is a perfect piano in the right size and very unusual to find a white piano in this size as well.
