BALDWIN | 1988 | SD10 9′ CONCERT GRAND | SATIN EBONY | $59,900

This American-made 1988 Baldwin SD10 (serial number 277653) is considered by many to be the finest Concert Grand piano ever built in the USA.

Designed during Baldwin’s stewardship as the owner of C. Bechstein of Berlin, the SD10 incorporates a full German Renner action, Abel hammers, and Mapes strings while still keeping its classic American sound.

Famously used by such artists as Leonard Bernstein, Jose Iturbe, Michael Feinstein, Ferrante & Teicher, Marian McPartland, and other Artists too numerous to mention, this piano has been completely restored by one of the finest rebuilders on the West Coast. The specifications have been returned to their original requirements and all necessary parts have been replaced. Our Master Technician has fully voiced and regulated the piano.

Nearly every major American symphony orchestra had an SD10 as one of its two concert instruments. R Kassman is delighted to be able to provide access to this extraordinary piece of piano history to you at a fantastic price.
